For over 50 years we have delivered shading solutions, our legacy goes before us - as true Masters of Delivery
From a Scottish electrician, Thomas Swanson, leaving Glasgow in the 1920's to work in the thriving docklands of Cardiff, to what became an electrical wholesale business with another Scottish family (Mackay's) through the 2nd world war, through to Eric branching out in 1970's to start SwanMac from his garage selling construction products, hospital cubicle tracks and venetian blinds. Today the business is still built on the close family values that set the foundations over 100 years ago.

Swanmac Timeline
Eric Swanson established SwanMac Agencies.
Worked from his garage at home, and set up manufacture of venetian blinds
Moved into first premises
Located in Taffs Well, north Cardiff.
Moved into larger premises
Located at the old Garth Bakery building, Unit 2, Viaduct Road.
Swanmac wins biggest project so far
Fitting out the Atradius Building in the Cardiff Bay re-development with 25mm venetian blinds, 999no. and all made in our factory.
Phasing out domestic installs
Greater focus on the commercial market and broadening out to serve whole of UK market.
Become incorporated company – Swanmac Limited
Structuring and systemising the business for growth and re branding to the blue tick logo
Swanmac takes over the operations of Sketty Blinds, Swansea
Taking on the operations of Sketty Blinds, Swansea, initially working together on the delivery of Swansea University's new Bay Campus.
Swanmac refits own offices
To allow more office space and increase capacity for increased team.
Swanmac purchase Unit 3 ,Viaduct Road
Development opportunity next door to our current offices to enable further growth
Swanmac window film division
Window film division established to serve a product line alongside blinds and curtains.
Covid-19 pandemic
Swanmac launch screens division to assist our healthcare clients.
Continued growth
Swanmac takes over the blinds and curtains operations of TaylorWest to grow our presence in the South West region.
Expansion
Swanmac submit plans to re-develop current 2 sites to create more office and warehouse space for future development.
Commencement of building unit 3
Following a drawn out planning stage, we appoint BECT building to start construction.
London Division
Swanmac London launches in March, growing our presence in the fit-out market
New Offices!
November 2024 we finally officially open our stunning new HQ whilst celebrating our 50th year of trading!
Swanmac Northern
Swanmac set up a Sheffield office to serve north England and Scottish market.
Masters of Delivery
After an impressive 2025, we arrive in 2026 with an even stronger order book than last year, with targets set, an operational re-structure and a re-brand launch on 27th March
